Tatum made me a flower and wrote nice things about me in the petals. She painted a place mat for me, too. She gave it to me on Thursday night, the day I had the class take them home. She had made sure I had not seen them at school. As you can tell I was already ready for bed so this was undoubtedly a bedtime delaying tactic. They don't look tired, but their mother was very tired. It was worth staying up to hear how loved I am, though. Trevor decided to make me wait till Sunday to read his card to me. He'll probably want me to read it sometime after 8 PM.
After church we went to eat at a Japanese Grill. We love the food and the show. We had soup, salad, vegetables, fried rice, and steak and shrimp. I guess you can now see by this picture why I don't put my oldest child on my blog very often.
See the family resemblance? He let Trent hold his cooking utensils while he cleans his grill. Later, he tried to play a trick on Trent and pretended to put the burnt grill pieces on Trent's plate. Unfortunately, he dropped them on Trent's plate for real. Trent was ok with it because he loves steak and got a whole new steak.
He tried to get us to catch shrimp in our mouths. I was told I didn't because I shut my eyes. I don't think that it would have made a difference. Trevor caught his shrimp in his hand. Trent has his fly over his head. Russ almost caught his as you can see in the picture.
