My class started preparing for the big Cinco de Mayo Celebration on Friday. We had to make the pinata by hand, bake the corn tortillas, etc.... Just kidding, we made maracas by painting cups, adding beans and th

en decorating them with pom poms.

They made chili peppers out of beads and pipe cleaner and Mexican paper dolls.
At the party they played pin the flower on the cactus, pass the hot tamale (Tatum manned the CD for me), and throw the jumping beans in the sombrero. They ate chalupas, bean burritos, and chips and queso. Afterwards, they broke the pinata and filled the goody bags they had decorated.

Looks like a fun party. You are such a good teacher! You and your family are welcome here at skunky acre anytime, be it for a day, a week, a month, or a year. We have a ton of room. Well, just as long as you don't mind staying in a house under renovation. And hen pecked was just a catchy title.
