Last night we went to see the Christmas lights in Belton Park. Since we were in two cars we had to use cell phones so we could sing Christmas carols together. We went through a winter wonderland, the 12 days of Christmas, and a salute to our military. There was a beautiful white nativity scene which spread out the length of a football field. Our favorites were Santa fishing and pulling out a whale, surfing a huge wave, and sinking a putt. By the end we had two little boys snoring loudly in unison and two big boys wanting hot cocoa.

My parents' house seemed really big with only two adults. Six adults, four children, two toddlers, and one dog make it seem "cozy". I think I know why the adults only community won't let children live in it.
The kids enjoyed playing the Christmas game with my mom until bad sportsmanship reigned and the game was canceled due to a tugging on a card that led to a nasty rip. Needless to say, this is the before picture. (The culprit is already beginning to have an iffy attitude.)
A second miracle occurred while in Texas. Russ and I took Taylor to the mall to get her some jeans (remember it is the day before Christmas Eve) and in less than 30 minutes she had three pair (same style but different colors). Those of you who know my precious preteen know it isn't usually a successful outing, much less pleasant. I am glad to say that we all left the mall happier than when we went in.
