The Bigger Clan

We were excited to get together with Russell's cousins and their families. We love to visit with them. We usually take a summer vacation with them every few years. There is always laughter, good food, lots of games, and interesting conversations. We've been fishing, horse back riding, and hiking in Colorado. Swimming, fishing, and house boating in Arkansas. Some of us got to celebrated Russell's 40th at Canyon of the Eagles for a weekend. There are lots of 2nd cousins for the kids to play with. The cousins' kids range from 7 yrs. to 26 yrs. It is such a treat when we can all get together. The 26 yr. old was 2 when I went to the first reunion. I guess I've been in the family awhile. Judy is one of the main causes of this large clan. She and Laverne's brother, Jerry, had Larry, Doug, and Steve. Carol and Troy were gracious to open up their home to this crew. The etoufee she fixed was a huge hit. All the adults like to play games, except for Cindy who fell asleep on the couch. Maybe we can recruit her next time. Jasmine is always willing to be available for what ever fun anyone wants to have. Carol's mom loves to play Foot and something. She could play it all day every day. I was glad to get to meet her. Laurie is a mom of seven kids. She reminds me of Amy Grant. I guess that lets you know how I feel about her.

Brothers, Matt & Justin (26) played chess. Troy and Carol are wonderful hosts who like to serve.
Doug and Cindy have had a lot of fun times with us-the circus, rodeos, concerts, etc....

Steve & Jasmine joined us on a family trip before Tatum in Colorado. We were so glad they tagged along. We need to do it again, soon. Jerry is so good about making time to get together. We are grateful for the effort that these families make to spend time with us. They come from New York, Colorado, Louisiana, and Texas.

Brothers Troy (7th) and Matt (19) and enjoy a game of pool.

Nicole (7th), Taylor (8th), and Courtney (9th), and love to listen to music and talk on the phone together.

Annie (4th) is clowning around in the rope.

Phil and Troy visiting.

Thank you for your encouraging words. I think I may keep going. At least while I'm off.

Looks like a lot of fun. We are just spending the holiday trying to figure out how to kill a chicken. Gee, I wonder who is having the better time!
