Christmas Day

We started off Christmas Day bright and early. We waited until Lisa's family got here before we let the kids loose. After we opened all our presents the kids found a note from Santa. He left clues for them to find their last special presents. Taylor got an IPOD dock, Tatum got the Brats movie camera, Trent got a Wii, and Trevor got a Hummer bike.

Taylor loves American Idol. Her grandma gave her the Chicken Soup for the Soul book. She seemed to like it better than the Tinker Bell socks I gave her. Tatum got Baby Alive. Lisa wants her to practice so she can change Austin and Ethan while she is here.

Trevor and Trent love to play football. They got a flag football set and NCAA or the Wii and Pro Madden football for the game boy. Favorite Wii games: Eric: tennis, Trevor: boxing, Trent: baseball, & Russ: bowling.

Mom and Dad cooked a delicious traditional meal for us (except for the two little ones who ate mostly gingerbread cookies and M&Ms. They were gracious enough to make sure it was gluten free for me.

We had a fun but relaxing day. We watched Home Alone I, The Christmas Story, and Christmas with the Cranks. We tried to play a Mad Lib game but decided it took too much brain power after we had eaten such a big meal. We opted for the Eating Game, again. Our favorite game is the one my dad made, Jokers and Pegs

We had a great day playing with the boys. Austin loved grabbing the big boys caps and running off with them. He would just giggle and giggle. Ethan pretended to play game cube with the big boys. He is so sweet to give lots of hugs and kisses. His "Merry Christmas" is so cute.

I am wondering if I should be questioning my sister's parenting methods. Ethan and Austin stayed in a box most of the day. Ethan had to eat rabbit pellets off the floor and Austin was forced to try to find something to eat in pill bottles. He finally ate some coal he found in his stocking.

I hope your family had a wonderful Christmas. Ours was full of family, food, and fun. The perfect holiday for me. Tomorrow we see Russell's brother's kids, Amanda and Nicole. They are staying a few days with us while their parents work. I am so excited to have both my nephews and nieces together.
