After a long night the kids were up early to play together. Tatum told the little boys to sit still while she taught them piano. It was amazing to think that they listened to her and sat still for over 30 minutes and even more amazing when you realize that she doesn't even know how to play the piano.

We went for a short walk before we loaded up into the car.

Then we went to a local lake to see the alligators, cranes, egrets, and spoon bills. We pretended to still be in the valley by cramming 2 toddlers, 3 children, 2 pre-teens, and 6 adults into our Excursion.

We ended the day by eating at a seafood restaurant. Austin and Ethan took the prayer before dinner very seriously.

We tried catfish, oysters on the half shell, charbroiled oysters, shrimp cocktail, and fried shrimp. All of it was delicious. Austin's favorite was the crackers with ketchup on top.

My dad tried his first oyster on the half shell. He had a hard time getting it down. He claimed it was because there was sand or a pearl in it.

Lisa had her doubts about her first time, too. She was excited with anticipation until she actually saw them.
