Jon & Kate Gosselin

I have decided to write about when we saw Jon & Kate last month because over 50 people have accidentally gotten to my blog because they were looking for information about them.

The Gosselins told about the first few years of their experience, the kids' personalities, and how they have grown closer to each other and God through (or in spite 0f) this experience. They have a wonderful testimony about how God has provided for them when they couldn't' t see a way themselves to care for 3 year old twins and newborn sextuplets with no income. The Gosselin ten are Jonathan & Kate and their children:Cara & Madelyn (twins, 7) Alexis, Hannah, Aaden, Collin, Leah & Joel (sextuplets, 3). You can check out their story at http://www.sixgosselins.com/

Jon was friendly, easy going, and funny and didn't get to say too much. He mainly did one liners or started a sentence. Kate answered most of the questions and finished Jon's sentences. They seemed to be a good balance for each other.

A lot of people want to know where the sextuplet's grandparents are. When we had a question and answer time, the Gosselins were asked the question about why no one ever sees the grandparents. They explained that before Jon's dad died, he was involved. He didn't mention his mom, just that his parents were divorced. They, also, said that some people can't handle all the chaos and noise of so many kids. She didn't act like there were hard feelings between them, just that they were as involved as they could be. She didn't talk negatively about them. Also, she said that other people have filled in and become like grandparents to their children.

The Gosselins stated that their main purpose in doing the show is so that they are able to tell others about the impact Christ has had on their lives and present the gospel message. The network cuts out any mention of church or God on the show.Kate told about how when she was a little girl she wanted to be a missionary. She feels like this is the way for her to be one without having to rough it. This year the show will feature them taking each child on a special date by themselves.

I found this online about the grandparents (wikianswers.com)

"Jon's father is deceased. His mom is remarried.

Kates father has his Masters Degree in Education. Hes a Teacher, a Minister, owns a large Campground, was in local govt and they just built a large beautiful house. And they have all their teeth. They love all their grandchildren but Kate has hurt them deeply when the tups were born.
Kates Dads church where he is a Minister got tons of donations and volunteers for the tups and Kate was rude, nasty and demanded ONLY NEW MATCHING items.
Then she demanded CASH. Then she disowned him when he refused to give in.
She rejected unmatched cribs and clothing.
These are the same grandparents that watched the twins the entire time Kate was in the hospital with the tups...

See where this is going?

It caused a rift and Kate disowned them in a huff and cut the tups out of their lives. "

That's crap that the show cuts out all mention of God and religion from their show. If that were true than why do they allow the Roloffs from Little People, Big World to speak of god and say prayers, etc. Now that's a REAL family! And finally, speaking of prayer ... I pray that Kate Gosselin will get the help she needs for her OCD. Poor Jon - he is absolutely gorgeous -- thinning hair and all! That's all for now!

How dare you post lies and hearsay about someone that you have never met. Saying those terrible things about kate Gosselin. Do you have twins and sextuplets? Then how can you pass judgemnet on some one who does. How is it any of your business what she does or says or if shes close to her parents? Unless you have been in their shoes you can not truly know what you would do inher place. So if it bothers you what she does or says then I have a suggestion CHANGE THE CHANNEL.

Good for you Mileyrae. I agree with you. Don't watch if you don't like what they are doing. I am sure it is not easy raising 8 kids and they are doing the best they can. I really enjoy the show and if Jon didn't like the way she treats him I think he would do something about it. They are a normal young couple trying to make a life for themself

They do not mention God. Come on. And Kate is extremely disrespectful to her husband; I do not care how many children she has.
I love when someone is negative someone else throws up "don't judge them". Good grief, we judge everyone in some manner. Kate is rude and that is just a fact. Whether she has 2 or 20 kids, she is RUDE. And the kids are growing up in a fishbowl.

Yes, they do mention God and in the show if you pay attention you will see verses from the BIBLE around the house. I've seen on the show the whole family going to church and the yard sale they had was at their church. They have shirts with BIBLE verses printed on them that I've seen Kate and Jon wear. I've just bought the book "Multiple Blessings" I hope it's really a good book and it's still on the top sellers. This family is a normal american family that the Lord has blessed with many children. Who are we to say what GOD's plans are for other people????

Jon's father was a local pediatric dentist and both my kids went to him. He was an amazing person and we miss him very much!

1) The show has mentioned Christ and church on many occasions. In fact, one episode was about going to church. I also seem to remember an ep where they had their family Code of Ethics or Mission Statement printed to be displayed, and I do believe God was listed on there somewhere.

2) I do not think Jon's parents divorced, but that his mom remarried some time after his dad passed.

Monica:

I believe "fishbowl" refers to glass walls (living in front of ta camera, no privacy), not the starkness of their abode.

i recently saw an interview with jon gosselin - all of those wikianswers and mean things written about kate are FALSE! jon said he talks to his mom and his brothers several times a day on the phone....they just want their privacy, and wish not to be filmed. can you blame them? as for kate's parents, jon said they wished to not get involved with the show as well. there was never any negative feelings between kate and her parents - they just live different lives and are not a part of any of their other grandchildren's lives either.
jon also mentioned that they still do talk to their friends bob and beth quite often - they have just requested to not be filmed anymore. so forget all the things you've heard about kate ditching her closest friends. kate is a strong willed lady, but she does have tact, and would not be intentionally disrespectful to others.

before you start believing all the articles and comments being repeated about this family, remember that most things are rumors and we don't know even half of what goes on in their lives. there are plenty of hours in the day when they are NOT being filmed. they love GOD, and they love their FRIENDS and are appreciative of all the opportunities this show has provided for them.

it's true - there is no point in judging these people unless you can say you have been in their house and experienced what it is like to have young twins and sextuplets to raise.

I love how Kate and the kids went on her birthday to make cakes at Duff's "Ace of Cakes" and Kate apologized for "acting like a fan". How do you think you got that million dollar house, honey?
Change the channel??...Some of us like the kids (though Mady get more obnoxious by the day!)and advocate for Jon!
