BLAKE LEWIS is in Town

Today Taylor's friend, Kiley, heard Blake Lewis talking on the radio. He was in town giving an interview. Taylor changed into her Blaker Girls' t-shirt after she found the station's address and we headed over. They were giddy with anticipation. Even Tatum was excited. She had bought an American Idol book from the Scholastic Book Fair at our school. It turns out Kiley and Taylor had, too.

Unfortunately, he had just left the building after we got there. The station manager told us to come back in a couple of hours because Blake was meeting him to go to dinner. When we got back to the station, the girls waited until they were invited to meet Blake. I was impressed that the stalkers were able to control their obsessive nature. Blake, the station manager, the band, and the DJs were very nice and accommodating. A special thanks to station KSMB.

Blake signed Taylor's Blaker Girls' shirt, her CD, and her Idol book. He signed Kiley's and Tatum's books, too. Since Kiley couldn't find her t-shirt, he signed her jeans. It was a good thing they bought the Idol books because Blake enjoyed looking through it with them. The girls told him about meeting him in Houston at the Idol concert on the 15th. Little did he know that the 15th is a special day for them each month because it is the first time that they met him. You can imagine their excitement when they realized that their second encounter with Blake was on the 15th, too.

The girls were able to keep it together until they got back into our car. Then they continued their screaming. They missed American Idol tonight but they got to see their favorite idol of all.
