Thanksgiving

I am so thankful that I was able to see my family over the holidays.
Three months ago, my 93 year old grandma fell and broke her hip.  After  surgery and rehab, she moved 6 hours to be closer to her daughters.  I am thrilled that she is now walking and was even able to travel the four hours from her house to ours for the week.  We joyed Doug's family on Saturday.  Russell's parents came for a couple of days on Monday.

Our family loves to play games.
The boys played soccer

We put a fall puzzle together
We played 9 cards

We played Tripoly

We played Sorry
Mom made sweater cookies for us to decorate

We went shopping
Grandma's best deal was the fall leaf she found on the way inside
Some of us went to see Big Hero 6 at the Movie Tavern and then others went to see Mockingjay

After the movie we went to Bahama Buck's for snowcones

They played giant Jinga

They played giant Checkers
Austin loved washers
They went swimming in the unheated pool

After Thanksgiving, we had food we had eaten in Europe-apple strudel, bratwurst, purple cabbage, goulash, and Sauerkraut,

We played Bunco

Lisa recovered Grandma's chairs for me

We roasted marshmallows

Russell's parents got to meet Celia
We are glad that Taylor is back home
We went to eat at a place that throws rolls and served Southern home cooked food.  Russ and his dad thought it was the best meat loaf they have ever eaten.

Taylor loved the fried green tomatoes.

We love our time with our family!
