What a Merry Christmas!

We were so excited to have my parents and sister's family come for Christmas. The four little ones slept on air mattresses in the study.
Lauren started asking to open gifts first thing in the morning. She started at 10:00 a.m.Ethan and Austin followed shortly after that.
They played Legos and then a Lego game until it was time to leave for the Christmas Eve service.
While the rest of the adults were in the kitchen fixing lunch, my parents decided to open some presents.
It was a year for marshmallows. Trent and Trevor enjoyed their marshmallow guns.
Tatum loved dipping marshmallows in her chocolate fountain. So did everyone else.
Lisa made me an eye glass case and Tatum a bag.
It was, also, a year of spa treatments. Taylor got a face spa, Tatum got a foot spa, and Mom, Lisa, and I all got the Clarisonic Mia.
On Christmas Eve, we read The Night Before Christmas and pass around gifts. The first one to get his/hers gets to open it.
Lauren didn't really understand the concept and refused to pass the gift she had in her lap. Unfortunately, it was Trevor's pajamas.

After we gave Lauren her pajamas to open, things went a lot smoother.
As soon as Austin opened his, he jumped up and put them on.
We love to decorate Christmas cookies.
We love to play games together-Clue, Rummikub, Pegs & Jokers, Bananas, etc... Our favorite was Spoons. We used plastic forks instead. We used two dozen for the eight of us, because we broke so many fighting over them.
We were so grateful that our family came to celebrate Christmas in the swamp!
