Bad Kreuznach is where Phil was stationed for a year when he was in the 8th Infantry Division Army Band. He played the trombone.
Parkhotel Kurhaus was built in 1913.
We ate dinner at the hotel restaurant-best eggplant parmesan. It is a spa town with baths and to breathe salt. People come from all over to seek the benefits in a healing hospital. Radon was first used.

The town put up a monument to thank the US Army for being there for fifty years.
The town was worried they wouldn't make it when the army left, but it has done well. It is growing and thriving in industry.

This is the ballroom that Phil went dancing in 59 years ago.
It is a very pretty town. We loved the fall foliage.
The Alte Nahebrucke was built in the 1300s that spans the Naha and Muhlenteich. In 1480, they built stores because a lack of land.
We ate lunch on this terrace.

Kauzenburg
This is the castle (Unfortunately, it was closed.) where Phil drank a glass of wine (All he could afford) one Christmas Eve.
It was a very long, steep walk up to the castle. It was worth the effort, because it had a beautiful view.
