My Aunt Mildred

Mildred was born on August 6, 1921.    She died on October 10, 2016, at the age of 95.

Mildred was a homemaker, florist, beautician, the Administrator of Women's Dormitory at University of Texas Pam American, and the House Mother for Chi Omega Sorority at Tulsa University.

Mildred was organized and a gracious hostess.  She was the wedding coordinator of my wedding.
My Aunt Mildred was a kind, generous, friendly  woman who made each person  she interacted with feel valued and loved.

Mildred liked to paint and was active in her church.

I have a couple of her paintings.  One of them is in my entryway.   It reminds me of my trips to Europe.

Mildred loved God and her family.

She was the second of 7 children.

Mildred was close to her four sisters.
Kathryn, Sammie Jo, Mildred, Madge, and Marie

They love playing cards and scrabble together.
Games are a serious business in this family.

Mildred was a good big sister to my dad.  She is 17 years older than him.

Mildred has three children- Karen, Trenton, and Kirby.

I will miss my Aunt Mildred very much.  I enjoyed talking to her on the phone and visiting with her when I could.  She would tell me she was sorry when the Baylor football team lost.  If a Oklahoma team lost to Baylor, she would say she was happy for me.

I know she is having a wonderful time seeing her parents, brother-Ed, sisters-Marie, Kathryn, and Madge, husband-TM, son-Trenton, and grandson-Spencer.

I love you, Aunt Mildred!
