A Tennessee Weekend with Amy Grant

My sister, Lisa, and I went to celebrate my birthday in Tennessee.

Helping Hands is Amy's charity organization that gives money to great causes.  Part of the ticket prices for the weekend went to several charities.  It was almost $100,000.

We enjoyed eating, listening to music, and shopping on Broadway in Nashville.

Amy had an awesome concert at the Factory in Franklin on Friday night.  We ate a yummy meal and then stood for her 3 hour plus concert.  All the songs were great!

I loved it when Vince sang to Amy.  It was so sweet!

Amy gave a check for $20,000 to Candy Christmas for the Church Under the Bridge in Nashville.

Eric Paslay sang "Deep as it is Wide" with Amy

Amy sang "Tennessee Christmas" and her daughter, Sarah, sang, too.

Amy's farm was beautiful, fun, and relaxing.

 Raven Cliff played, too.
I enjoyed painting a fall picture at the farm.

Saturday night they had a songwriters in the round with Brandon Heath, Natalie Hemby, and Beth Nielson Chapman

15 year, Jordan Gabriella sang a song she wrote for a friend who has cancer for the second time.  Amy gave him $15,000.  Here is her story

Sunday Amy gave $20,000 to the Red Cross, $10,000 for Hope Clinic, $10,000 to the Nashville Rescue Center.  The testimonies from the people who accepted the checks were very moving. Dan from Jars of Clay spoke for Blood Water Mission.  She gave them $10,000
Thanks to Friends of Amy Grant for some of the pictures!
It was a great weekend with my sister and a giving, compassionate, and talented woman.
