Tatum's Mother's Day Chapel

Tatum and the 2nd grade put on a beautiful Mother's Day Program in chapel. It was very sweet.

After the program we went back to the classrooms.Ms. Horton's class did a great job presenting If You Give Your Mom a Muffin She Will Want a Cup of Coffee (or as Tatum pointed out, a cold coke).
Then we were given an adorable picture and poem.

Grown Up Clothes by Christine R. Cassidy

Today I play dress up and try to act older;
Play games, play sports, I keep getting bolder.
One day you'll blink and I'll be in my teens.
Sometimes you'll wonder if we share the same genes!
Wake up one morning, I'll be ready to wed;
What an abundance of tears you and I will shed.
Then one day when years have long gone by;
When I have my own family, you'll sit back and sigh.
Pull out this old picture, my youth still shows;
I'm still your precious child only in grown-up clothes.
