Our New Addition

This weekend we went to OK for my aunt Marie's memorial service. When we were leaving on Sunday and were a couple of hours south of Tulsa, we stopped to eat. My parents met us there. My aunt Mildred and cousin Kirby happened to be there, too. I got a paper to see if there were any miniature Australian Shepherds for sale. There were not, but there was a Havanese a couple of hours northeast of where we were. We decided to do the crazy thing and go see the puppies. One of the puppies threw up on the other ones so they were smelly and soggy. These are the ones we didn't choose.

After we were finished at 5 PM we had 11 hours to get home instead of the 9 hours it was to take from Tulsa. Even though we got home at 3 AM it was worth driving to get our new puppy. We are still deciding on a name. Tatum wants Trixie. Tally is Trevor's choice. Anyone have any other suggestions?
We don't know much about this breed. Do you? I read that it is playful, alert, trainable and intelligent with a sweet, non-quarrelsome disposition.

It has a characteristic "spring" when it walks. I've noticed that our puppy likes to hop in the grass.
She likes to shake and pull apart things. She was thrilled to find a napkin to tear to pieces. I was excited because she found something to do instead of demand my attention.

She prefers to be in the sunshine than in the frigid air of our home. She loves to play and cuddle. These pictures were taken within a five minute time span.

She is super cute! I vote for the name Tally. Your house is really, really cold. You should get the poor puppy a sweater. :)

I can't wait to see the little fluff ball!
